With this handcrafted leather holster, for the Heritage Rough Rider .22, we are offering a beautiful and functional product intended for the use of the modern explorer and wilderness adventurer. After many trips and many miles into the wilderness carrying this gun, we wanted to make something that solves a few problems that come along with carrying a gun off the beaten path, while giveing a kinda of Indiana Jones/turn of the century archeaologists look.

Made from 8-9oz Medium Brown harness leather from Wickett and Craig.

This holster features a flap over the top to secure the gun on rough terrain, protect the gun from brush and dirt, and be more comfortable to wear without the hammer digging in when you twist and duck under branches. The bottom is sewn shut to prevent dirt in the barrel. And, the belt loop is at a cross draw angle for easy drawing while sitting around the camp fire.
I carry a rough rider every day, and this will now be the only holster it will go in when exploring the wilderness.
